Ben olayi tersinden kesfetmis idim, once Placebo'nun yorumunu biliyordum, ardindan Kate Bush'a rasgeldim... o siralar tuttugum notlari da bu giris vesilesiyle olumsuzlestireyim (yalan aslinda, not mot degil, Georgina ile yazismalarimizin benim tarafimdaki kisimlari 8)

As I set to listening Kate Bush's "Hounds of Love" I suddenly realized that the "Running up that hill" song I came to like very much from Placebo (I had heard of the song thanks to your semi-regular tweet posts, btw). I must admit that they have covered well, but they (the Placebo) have a despair tone whereas Kate Bush brings out the craziness.

and that difference is exactly what makes Placebo's a good cover, telling the same story, inciting different feelings... And also, I guess any thing Kate Bush sings will come with craziness smudged all over.. :P

3. mesaj (Chromatics'in yorumuna dair)
After first listening:
Surprisingly, this is the first time I must say that the synthesizers sound better than the vocal - it has this tone of the 80s all over and you're immediately zapped to Twin Peaks (the video also plays a part in this perception, I guess). I liked it but it would be really really divine if somebody else had sang it (don't know who).

Placebo'nun versiyonunun resmi klibi cok oldurucudur, basta "niye o oldurucu klibi almadin, yerine boyle resimli koydun?" diyecektim ki, yazarken sorunun, kendine cevap olabilecegini fark ettim... Hay bin kunduz (kudzu!)!

Kate bush'u vaktinde sizden duyup daha sonra tesadüfen bu şarkıya ulaştım.

8) Tesadüfe bakın ki, bana da Placebo'yu ilk dinleten siz olmuştunuz (hatta şarkıyı da hatırlıyorum: "a friend in need is a friend in deed..." gibi başlıyordu -- baktım şimdi, Without You I'm Nothing'den Pure Morning imiş. 8)
